YEAR ZERO LONDON LAUNCHES ''BE YOU''

March 4, 2015

Customised hand-painted bags and luggage – having set the trend a decade ago, Year Zero London launches a bespoke service, “Be You”, that aligns luxury and quality with personality and flair

“Be You” offers clients the opportunity to stamp their individuality and ideas on their favourite bags and luggage, creating one-off pieces with timeless appeal signed by the artist

Year Zero London, the London-based free-spirited fashion brand, launches its exclusive customised and hand-painted service – Be You - for those philanthropists of fashion who want to express their originality and independence on their favourite bags and luggage.

For those who want to blend quality, luxury and elegance with flair, personality and individuality, Year Zero London’s bespoke hand-painted service offers a unique opportunity to create iconic accessories that stand out from the norm.

Working collaboratively with artist and designer Rocky Mazzilli, the creative powerhouse behind Year Zero London, customers have the opportunity to create designs that reflect their character and personality, express new ideas and redefine the conventional rules that inform today’s bags and luggage.

Rocky Mazzilli said: “For many years, we have been working hand in hand with our clients to develop fashion that allows them to express themselves to the world. Today’s launch is about taking that ethos and making it available to anyone that has that special bag, suitcase or accessory that they want to make their own, whether it is using a favourite vintage piece, or a new purchase. At the heart of Year Zero is independence and freedom of expression, and in a world which is at risk of becoming ever more anodyne and bland we hope to help people fight this trend.”

Over the last few years, Year Zero London has worked on hand-painted projects with clients including :

Taking only three to four weeks from conception to completion, the process is straightforward:

  • Bring in a bag, trolley or suitcase

  • Arrange a creative consultation in store to discuss any ideas, preferences, concepts or simply share ideas on email

  • The artist will work on the creation of artwork and will email the first draft for review and discussion

  • Final artwork is agreed and the artist will begin painting

  • The signed bag will be ready for collection or delivery in 3-4 weeks.
